Lebanese Panda Revolution?

Who are we?

We are four Lebanese citizens. Some of us are short and some are tall, some are skinny and some not that skinny, some are men and some are women, some live in the North and some in the South, some are not too young and some are not too old.  Our names vary from traditional to unconventional ones. We are Lebanese, loving all the colors we have and belonging to Lebanon not wanting to live elsewhere.

Why did we launch the Lebanese Panda Revolution?
  • We have been living in Lebanon since we were born, we lived the civil war and its consequences. We refuse that Lebanon relives a second civil war because of so-called citizens who's incompetency, short vision and lack of culture leaves them fighting each other, killing hope, stealing from the poor and raping Lebanon.
  • We believe that we can improve our daily lives by occupying people with fundamental daily issues like improving our economical situation, increasing the number of people insured, conserving the green Lebanon we all love and maintaining proper decent schools for our children.
  • We decided to launch a peaceful revolution away from all the problems of the country, a revolution based on concrete actions not empty words.
Why Pandas?

Pandas are cute and cuddling in appearance yet they are very strong and noble creatures. Their contrasting black and white fur coloring is representative of difference in cultures while also reflecting the importance of balance between masculine and feminine energies. The Panda also symbolizes diplomacy in ancient Chinese culture and the unique ability to tap into higher knowledge.
Keeping all of the above in mind, the Panda is most importantly rare being an extinction-threatened species.
It is hard to find Pandas in Lebanese society, but we consider this Revolution launching as a wake-up call for all those hibernating pandas.

How to implement the Lebanese Panda Revolution?

We believe that from little things big things grow, just like a seed is planted into the ground and with patience, hard-work and care becomes a big fruitful tree, we sow concrete projects in order to reap the big fruit in the future: the Lebanon we dream of. For that, every Panda has undertaken a mission with a big issue that worries us and that can be divided into hundreds of little concrete projects. Meet the main four Pandas:
  • Red Panda: Healthcare and Insurance Guru
Did you know that nearly 50% of the Lebanese citizens don’t have insurance?
My mission is to lower this percentage to 10% with decent affordable insurance policies.
  • Blue Panda: Economic Problem-Solver
We have so many taxes of daily essential products and services we’re getting.
My mission is to increase the taxes on cigarettes and alcohol and lowering them on the fuel.
  • Green Panda: Environmental Defender
We always call Lebanon, “Lebnan el Akhdar” but soon it will become “Lebnan el Sahra”.
My mission is to preserve the Green forests we have and to provide green spaces with the new buildings.
  • Purple Panda: Educational Mastermind
We brag about being us Lebanese being Phoenicians but we neglect our current culture and education. My mission is to ensure that our children go to clean and safe schools without the parents worrying.

How and when to do that?
It surely takes time to reach our ultimate goal for alone we cannot achieve much. It takes more Pandas to sow little seeds all over Lebanon and eventually start reaping for the achievement of the bigger mission.

The Lebanese Panda Revolution, a concrete revolution for a better Lebanon.
